Classical Ballet Coach | Full-Time & Part-Time

Catherine embarked on her dance journey with full-time training at Halliday Dance Arts Centre in Australia. Her passion and dedication led her to the prestigious Royal Ballet Upper School in London, where she graduated and toured with the Royal Ballet Company across the U.K. Catherine graced the stage at the Royal Opera House in numerous productions, showcasing her exceptional talent.

Returning to Australia, Catherine joined Opera Australia, touring the country and performing works by acclaimed choreographers such as Graeme Murphy. After her illustrious dancing career, she pursued a Bachelor of Nursing at UTS, dedicating several years to working as a nurse in hospitals.

In 1996, Catherine transitioned to the role of a dance educator, beginning her teaching career at various schools in Sydney. While raising her four children, Catherine has found joy in teaching numerous students. Dance North Academy is privileged to have Catherine Edwards on board, bringing her wealth of experience and creating a nurturing and inspiring environment for our dancers to thrive.
